Message from the Headteacher

It is a busy time at the school with swimming galas and sports days. It is wonderful to see so many parents on the school campus supporting these events. One of the areas for us to develop, that has come from the community input into our future planning, is parental involvement. The students are keen to introduce sporting matches with the parents, parent ECAs were mentioned and there was a very popular vote for the PTA to be revived. With that in mind, my next Headteacher's Coffee Morning will be to invite interested parents to discuss parental involvement, including reintroducing a PTA. If you are unable to attend but are interested in joining a future PTA, please register your interest in the form below.
Exam season is almost over. We can hear the collective sigh of relief from students, teachers and parents! We wish Year 11 continued success in their final IGCSE exams on Wednesday 5th June. They have worked incredibly hard throughout their studies and they have shown excellent dedication during their study period and revision sessions in term 3. Following Wednesday, they can look forward to an exciting celebration day on Friday 7th which has been planned by Mrs Ali. Friendship, food, photos, crazy golf and lots of splashes!

Highlights from the week

Primary School Swim Gala

This week saw a tidal wave of excitement at the HHIS Primary School Swim Gala. Our young swimmers showcased their skills and confidence in the pool. Some fine freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke techniques were on show.

This event is not just about competition, but also about camaraderie and support. For some of our young swimmers this was a first taste of swimming in front of supporters and a chance to build confidence and self assurance.

Thanks go to the PE Team for organising such a successful gala.

SISB Merlion Swim Meet 2024

Congratulations on the fantastic achievement for the HHIS Swim Team! Huahin Hawks had an incredible weekend at the Singapore international School in Bangkok for the SISB Merlion Swim Meet 2024. Our swimmers made us very proud. They all put in so much effort and came away with some impressive results, as well as having a lot of fun. The team came 2nd U10/11 Boys, 3rd place U10/11 Girls, 3rd place U12/13 Girls, and 1st place in Over 14 Girls. This gave the team a combined 3rd place overall!!!

Well done to all swimmers who participated and contributed to this remarkable achievement:

A huge thank you to Ms Pla and Coach Hin for guiding the team.

Playgroup

The HHIS playgroup takes place every Wednesday morning, supervised by Ms Lynn. We regularly have twenty babies and toddlers, along with their parents and carers, joining. The playgroup takes place next to the Primary Office and is a hive of activity as well as an opportunity for members of the Hua Hin community to meet and socialise with other parents and families.
