Message from the Headteacher
At this time of year we like to ask for some feedback from our school community. Last year we conducted a comprehensive review of the school that led to the development of our school strategic plan. This year we are sending a survey that some of you will be familiar with: our Parent and Carer Questionnaire. We are sending the same survey questions as previous years so we can compare the data collected and continue to inform our action plan to work towards our vision of “inspiring success for all”.

Please take some time to complete the following questionnaire to give us further feedback about the development of the school.

U11 FOBISIA Games - well done to the Hawks!
The Hawks recently returned from an unforgettable experience at the FOBISIA Primary Games 2025, held at Pattana Sports Resort, where they competed with pride, passion, and a whole lot of team spirit! Over four action-packed days, our students took part in Athletics, Swimming, Teeball, and Football, alongside schools from across Asia — including Vietnam, Nepal, Myanmar, China, and Thailand. The games provided a perfect platform for our young athletes to showcase their skills, support each other, and build friendships with students from around the region.
Day 1 kicked off with Athletics and Swimming, where our students gave their all. There were personal bests on the track, strong performances in the pool, and an overwhelming sense of support from the sidelines. Day 2 saw us hit the Teeball fields. The HHIS B Team struck gold, taking home first place after a thrilling day of play. Our A Team brought infectious enthusiasm, showed great effort, and made memories to last a lifetime. Day 3 was all about Football. The Girls' Team earned a well-deserved Gold Medal after a series of fantastic matches, showing unity, skill, and tenacity. The Boys' Team battled bravely, finishing in a proud 4th place, just narrowly missing out on a medal.
As well as all the sports and competition, our students enjoyed the FOBISIA disco and plenty of social time, creating bonds that will extend beyond the competition. We are incredibly proud of how each student represented HHIS — with determination, kindness, and true sportsmanship. A huge thank you to our amazing coaches, staff, and of course, to our supportive parents.

Go Hawks – you’ve made us all proud!

U15 Girls Football - The Hawks Win the Shield!
A massive well done to our U15 girls team who enjoyed two fantastic days of football. Top international schools from all over South East Asia gathered in Bangkok, all hoping for a winning finish to their football seasons. The HHIS girls secured some brilliant wins and draws, earning a spot in the shield competition. The team had built super teamwork and their tough defending turned into swift attacks. They battled their way through the quarter and semi finals without conceding a single goal to set up a nail-biting final. After going 1-0 up they fought and blocked every attack that came their way and when the final whistle blew the team were thrilled to come away as shield champions. We are very proud of them and it was great to see the team spend time socialising together, celebrating a birthday, bowling and shopping - this all helped to create a winning bond. Well done every player - Let’s Go Hawks!

We are delighted to announce Ellie, Ohm, Asia and Austin as our new Student Ambassadors. Throughout their studies at HHIS, they have proven themselves to be wonderful role models. Ellie, Ohm, Asia and Austin who are currently in Y12, will support our school by working with all Secondary students and liaising with Primary classes. They have already led a very uplifting assembly for Y7-10 students and they now wish to gather ideas and champion student voice. We are very proud that every student has the chance to share their views and in collaboration with our new Ambassadors, we can continue to innovate ways to develop HHIS and help our whole school community. We thank Ellie, Ohm, Asia and Austin and we wish them the best of success in their new role and in their IB studies.

Year 4 Become Scientists for the Morning!
Last week, Year 4 had an exciting opportunity to step into the world of Secondary Science as they visited the labs for a hands-on exploration of States of Matter. The students were buzzing with excitement as they took part in a range of jaw-dropping experiments including the famous elephant’s toothpaste, the gooey wonder of non-Newtonian fluid, and the squishy fun of cloud dough.
These experiments allowed our budding scientists to investigate the unusual properties of materials like cornstarch and water, and to see first-hand how solids, liquids and gases can behave in surprising ways. Throughout the session, the children practised making scientific predictions, observing closely, and discussing their results with enthusiasm and curiosity.
It was a fantastic experience that brought science to life - it has also inspired our Year 4 students for future investigations!

More than 3,500 runners joined the Hua Hin Marathon on Sunday morning, with participants from across Thailand and overseas competing in the annual event held in Ban Takiab, Hua Hin. There were a number of HHIS runners and it was wonderful to see so many happy faces as they crossed the finish line…and we also had a number of students, parents and teachers winning awards!
