Message from the Headteacher

Congratulations to the class of 2025!

On Friday we held the graduation ceremony for the HHIS Class of 2025. Our Year 13 students have finally finished their exams, and so it was time to celebrate with them and wish them well in the next chapters of their lives. The ceremony included speeches from Mr David and Ms Alicia who recognised the varied achievements of this eclectic group of individuals. The students were represented by Danny, Mimi, Nina and Sam who shared their thoughts on their time at HHIS and a memorable speech from Xavier amused us with his commentary on his teachers. Faby, Melissa and Maryam entertained us with their rendition of “Slipping through my Fingers” by ABBA.

This annual event is attended by family friends and teachers who all come together to celebrate the culmination of all the hard work put in by the students. At this time, we also acknowledge the hard work of the teachers and also of the parents who have supported their children through these last two years.

The Year 13 graduation is always a proud moment in a school, and I am sure the entire community extends its best wishes to the Class of 2025 as they embark on their next adventures.

Highlights from the week

Wang Bost Art Collaboration

IGCSE Art students visited Wang Bost Primary School on Tuesday to support an initiative led by the Bright Dawn Foundation to provide an improved learning environment at one of the schools they support. Students and staff from both schools met to discuss initial ideas for decorating the new English classroom, and we look forward to seeing the collaborative designs that the Art students come up with.

This is the continuation of an ongoing project to further develop links between HHIS and other schools in the local community, with a view to engaging students in reciprocal learning opportunities.

Halio School Vs Hua Hin International School

On Friday, we were delighted to welcome Halio School for an exciting U11 football fixture. Our Hua Hin Hawks girls and boys teams, made up of students from Years 5 and 6, showed great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the afternoon.

The atmosphere was buzzing as classmates and families gathered on the sidelines to cheer on their friends, creating a supportive and lively environment. Both games were closely contested and showcased the growing talent and enthusiasm within our football programme.
A big thank you to Halio School for making the journey and to all staff, players, and supporters for contributing to a memorable sporting occasion. We look forward to more fixtures like this in the near future!

Hyrox BKK 2025

This weekend saw the first ever HYROX event come to Thailand, with thousands of competitors from around the world visiting. HYROX is fast becoming the biggest festival of fitness across the globe combining strength, speed and endurance. We are delighted to say well done to our HHIS community, as we had parents, friends and teachers participating. There were outstanding performances in the doubles, the relays and the singles - everyone can feel incredibly proud of their progress and achievements. INSPIRING!!!
