COVID-19 update
We continue to liaise with the Ministry of Public Health to minimise the spread of Covid-19; the whole school was disinfected by one of their teams last Tuesday. I do thank you for your support in maintaining these strict precautions.

I have had some questions from parents who have themselves, tested positive for COVID-19. The following is the advice being given by the local Public Health and hospitals.

The quarantine period for positive cases is 10 days. If a parent tests positive and they remain in close contact with their child, then the child must also quarantine for 10 days. Just as with the parent, child will need to test negative on an ATK test before returning to school.

Gong Xi Fa Cai 恭喜發財
Chinese New Year celebrations have always been a highlight of our calendar and although celebrations will be more limited this year we will still be welcoming in the Year of the Tiger in style on Tuesday February 1st.

Wearing red is considered to be lucky in Chinese tradition and we encourage students to wear traditional Chinese costumes or to wear red on Tuesday February 1st.

Students are currently practising some Chinese traditional dances and these will be recorded and shown to students within their classes. We will also make this video available to parents.

Lucky red envelopes will be given out and at morning break students will be able to taste Chinese dumplings. Primary students will also take part in making traditional Chinese New Year crafts.

Best wishes,
