Gong Xi Fa Cai 恭喜發財 Students have had a lovely morning welcoming in the Chinese Year of the Tiger. It was a delight to watch the performances of the students and also to learn more about the traditions of the Chinese New Year celebrations. Students through the school took part in traditional Chinese crafts, tasted Chinese dumplings and received lucky red envelopes. Here is a link to our Chinese New Year Celebrations:https://drive.google.com/file/d/18YutEbyeNagAwsnWYKZNSy07cpVgGKsd/view?usp=sharing Thank you to Ms Bonnie, Ms Yun and Ms Card for all their hard work making these celebrations such a success. |
Wildlife Friends Foundation Trust VisitNext week children in KS2 will be going on a visit to the Wildlife Friends Foundation Trust as part of their science studies. They are already really excited. It is great to be able to be able to extend their learning through visits once more. Lost PropertyWe miss the informal contact with parents in so many ways. One consequence is that we have a bit of a build-up of lost property. On Thursday we will lay out all the items in the main play area for students to pick out any property that they have mislaid. Please prompt your children to have a look for any items that you know are missing. New Secondary BuildingNext week we will be able to start moving some equipment into the new building and preparing everything for the full opening on Monday February 21st. Please note that secondary students will then need to be dropped off at the far end of the sports field, where they will be able to have direct access into their new building. Excitement is really growing as we make these final preparations. Best wishes, |
