It was a real joy to welcome parents back on to the campus on Friday and today there was further jubilation and excitement as we welcomed all our students back into school. It is the first full opening of our campus for two years and staff were also really fired up and enthused as they planned the term’s learning and events.
IB and IGCSE Result Celebrations
Congratulations to all our IB and IGCSE students on their excellent exam results. They have shown real strength of character and resilience to overcome the challenges of the past few years and now have results to be really proud of. The high level of attainment has enabled our IB students to be heading off to top universities across the world.
With 80% of our IGCSE grades being A to Cs and 40% of our IGCSE grades being As or A*s, the IGCSE results are truly impressive.
While we celebrate the individual results, behind the figures lie stories of great determination, resilience and inspiration. Well done to you all. We look forward to following the careers of our new ‘Alumni’ and to seeing our new Year 12s being inspired as they begin their own IB journeys.
Walkway and Basketball Court
Construction of the covered walkway between the Secondary building and the Science/Canteen block and the basketball court is well underway. These latest additions to our facilities will be completed by the end of this half term.

ECAs
ECAs will begin on Monday August 29th and Mr Jeremy will be sending out the increased range of ECA choices tomorrow (Tuesday August 23rd).
Capital Bonds
A number of parents have asked if the Capital Bonds are still available and I would like to
confirm that they are available and on the same terms as summarised below.
The terms of the bonds are as follows:
Amount of each bond Baht 500,000.
Each bond entitles the holder to a discount each term of Baht 10,000. This is equal to a return of 6% per annum.
The bond will be repaid in full when either:
1. The student leaves the school.
2. The holder gives one term’s notice to request repayment.
3. At the expiry of 5 years.
Parents may subscribe for one or more bonds or none at all, it is not a requirement to
invest in a bond.
If you are interested to invest in one or more bonds please complete the form on this link:
https://forms.gle/CcAU3QrEQaGK2H2e7
To be entitled to the discount for Term 1 of the 2022/23 academic year the bond should
be purchased prior to the end of this August. The school shall issue a credit note for the
discount and where the fees have already been paid in full the school shall give a cash
refund.
Please contact Khun Cheng in the school office if you require any more information or
Clarification (cheng.b@huahinschool.com).
Flu Vaccinations
San Paulo Hospital Hua Hin have offered Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccines 2022 for ฿550 per dose for our students. If you would like your child to be vaccinated please complete the Google form link here: https://forms.gle/C6BXXBgu4ro8rb1b9 The hospital nurses will come to school on September 16th to provide this service. Vaccinations will not take place without parental permission.
The hospital gives the advice that children under 9 years old and those who have not been vaccinated before will need two doses with four weeks between the doses.
Drop Offs
Please can I remind parents that the drop off for children arriving at the main gate should be within the car park. It is not safe for children to be dropped off in the road and then have to walk across the car park.
Best wishes,
