This is not the start of the year we all wanted for sure but students and staff have once more embraced the challenges of online learning with uplifting results. Popping in to sessions shows students and staff being fully engaged and involved in lively discussions and learning. It is gratifying that students are becoming more independent this time around but I am aware of the stresses placed upon parents. Teachers are doing all they can to alleviate this and if your child needs more support in any way, please let us know. Please let K Kate, our Chief Information Office, know if you experience any difficulties with technology kate.p@huahinschool.com . Thank you once again for your support. It was super to see teachers and children coming together for the end of week ‘Celebration Assemblies’ with Mr Matt and Ms Jo. Here are some snippets of innovative online learning from Upper Key Stage Two.Early Years children have also been busy this week online. They enjoyed the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’ and went on to follow instructions of how to make bread. They developed many skills in literacy, maths, science and had a physical workout too with all that kneading. The results looked delicious. Ms Rachel. |

![]() Ms Alicia was kindly able to get in touch with an IB Spanish teacher from El Colegio Británico de Cancún (The British School of Cancún), and arranged for a Zoom call. We were able to meet a handful of students who have generously offered to privately tutor us Spanish students as an IB CAS activity. In our Language B Zoom call on Wednesday, we were able to engage in an interesting debate about the ‘Trump Wall’, it was rather intriguing to hear their points of view. As well as the debate, we shared Christmas traditions and were able to ask any questions we had about Cancún and Mexican culture.Fue muy divertido!Faye Y12 |
