We welcomed parents back into school for sports days last week and what a lift it was for us all. It was so lovely to have our community back together again. It signified a new beginning.
Students throughout the school had a wonderful time, competing with smiles on their faces. Everyone gave their best efforts in the myriad of events, and everyone was a winner.
Each age group competed for the team trophies. So, extra congratulations go to the Red Team for Years 4 to 6, the Green team for Years 1 to 3 and the Yellow team for Secondary.
Thanks goes to our PE team, Mr Aaron, Mr Mike and Ms Pla.
Early Years Children also enjoyed a morning of sports in their first taste of a Sports’ Day.
Introducing Our New Teachers for 2022/23
Our school continues to expand with increased enrolments, additional facilities, additional staff and additional staffing roles. Transition days are coming up soon for different year groups and I am happy to say that our new teachers are making great efforts to be part of these days by getting up very early in the UK to make their first link with classes.
I introduce our new staff to you and warmly welcome them to our school community. Please do visit our website to read their full profiles. https://huahinschool.com/teachers/
Their experience, qualifications and enthusiasm bodes extremely well.
Drop-in
We will be having an informal ‘drop in’ session on Friday August 19th from 11:00am to 12:30 just so that you can come to say ‘hello’ to teachers, see your child’s classroom and have a look around the expanding campus.
Jungle Aid Fundraising
Our ‘Enterprise Study Group’ extend their thanks to everyone who donated food and funds to support their ‘Jungle Aid’.
A total of 562 items of food were donated along with 14,980 Baht. Year 10 Enterprise students took a trip to Makro on Thursday to buy even more food with this money. We had so much food that it could not fit into one truck. This will make a huge difference to the many local people and refugees supported by Jungle Aid.
The final fundraiser for this academic year will be a ‘Coffee and Croissant breakfast stall’ again run by Year 10 Enterprise students. This stall will be open from 08.30am in the morning of the Summer Concert, Friday 24th June.
